Inter School State Level Mallakhamb Competition 2024-25 :
The Inter-School State Level Mallakhamb Competition was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, under the District Sports Officer’s Office and the District Sports Council, Mumbai Suburb, in association with the Mumbai Suburb District Mallakhamb Association and the Bima Nagar Education Society, held on 28th and 29th November 2024. Around 300 people like officials, referees, coaches, guides, activists, volunteers participated in the said competition.
Annual General Meeting of Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association
Annual General Meeting of Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association was held on 29 September 2024 at Poysar Gymkhana, Kandivali (W). Around 100 people such as various dignitaries, office bearers of Mumbai suburban district, representatives of affiliated organizations, life members were present for the said meeting. In the said meeting, information was given about the various activities undertaken by the Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association and a discussion was also held. Everyone appreciated the new website, logo, various activities of the Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association and wished them all the best for the future progress of the organization. Dronacharya award winner in Mallakhamba game Shri. Ganesh Devrukhkar and the winner of the 2nd World Mallakhamba competition Ms. Akshay Talal, Ms. Janhvi Jadhav, Ms. Rupali Gangawane was felicitated. Also, to encourage Mallakhambapattu, Mr. In memory of Dattaram Dudam sir, emerging sportsmen will be honored from this year and for their excellent performance in the year 2023-24, Ms. Viraj Ambre, Ms. Tanvi Davane was felicitated. Similarly, Mallakhamba lovers who donated to the Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association were honored and thanked. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem after thanking all the dignitaries and representatives present.
Mallakhamb Day 15th June
The official website of Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association was unveiled on 15th June 2024 on the occasion of Mallakhamb Day.
Also, the new logo of Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamb Association was unveiled.
Similarly, through the efforts of the Mumbai Suburban District Mallakhamba Association, the year 2025 edition of the world famous prestigious calendar Kalnirnaya has mentioned the date 15th June as the International Mallakhamba Day. This will surely help the ancient and traditional Indian sport like Mallakhamba to become even more popular.
